Set Sail!
While still a student, Rudens Turku founded the Musiktage Starnberg. After 20 years, this renowned festival in the south of Munich has become a highlight of the musical spring with its attractive combination of masterclasses and high-caliber concerts. To celebrate its anniversary, Turku brings together an illustrious group of instructors for an ambitious project: large-scale chamber music with artists who rank among the best in their field.
Great Opportunity
Wolf Kerschek composed a "Festival Rhapsody" for this festive occasion, seemingly written for Turku's violin. The native Albanian shares his solo part with star trumpeter Matthias Höfs; with influences ranging from "Star Wars" to Stravinsky, it’s a truly festive arrangement!
Flawless
Louis Spohr’s Nonet is quite rarely experienced in concert halls: finding nine outstanding chamber musicians is indeed a special occasion. Furthermore, the violin part is particularly adventurous and virtuosic – but this is no problem for Rudens Turku. The immensely popular "American Suite" by Antonín Dvořák has been specially arranged by Ulf-Guido Schäfer for this occasion, and it’s remarkable how, with just eight musicians, Dvořák’s orchestral colors come to life.
Limitless
The sound experience on this exquisitely produced Super Audio CD is also festive and opulent. In true three dimensions, a grand virtual space expands even into the smallest living room. Filled with great music, spatial boundaries seem to dissolve. A musically audiophile listening experience of exceptional vitality.

Musically Audiophile Listening Experience
Anniversary Edition of the Rudens Turku Festival Ensemble
Even as a student, violinist Rudens Turku founded the Musiktage Starnberg. After 20 years, this renowned festival in the south of Munich has become a highlight of the musical spring with its attractive combination of masterclasses and high-caliber concerts. For its anniversary, Turku gathers an illustrious group of instructors for an ambitious project: large-scale chamber music by Dvořák and Spohr, along with a world premiere featuring artists who today rank among the best in their field. Wolf Kerschek composed a "Festival Rhapsody" for two soloists and chamber ensemble for this festive occasion, seemingly written for Turku's violin. The native Albanian shares his solo part with star trumpeter Matthias Höfs; with influences from "Star Wars" to Stravinsky, it’s a truly festive pleasure enriched with timpani and percussion!
Louis Spohr’s Nonet is quite rare to experience in the concert hall: nine outstanding chamber musicians are indeed found only under special conditions. Moreover, the violin part is particularly adventurous and virtuosic. The popular "American Suite" by Antonín Dvořák has been specially arranged by Ulf-Guido Schäfer for this occasion, and it’s remarkable how, with just eight musicians, Dvořák's orchestral colors shine so intensely.
The sound experience on this Super Audio CD, produced in 2+2+2 recording, is also festive and opulent. In true three dimensions, the acoustics of the concert hall at the Abbey of Marienmünster envelop musicians and listeners virtually, even in the smallest living room. Filled with great music, spatial boundaries seem to dissolve: a magnificent musically audiophile listening experience.
